Ariana Grande’s name has stayed out of the media for some time. But her life sure does seem to get out to the media quickly. Especially right after – THREE days to be exact – she and her ex-husband separated. Reportedly they ended up separating because they realized their relationship worked in a “post-COVID world.” It quickly came out on the internet that Ariana Grande is dating Ethan Slater. If you don’t know who he is, Slater is an actor who is most known for being Spongebob in The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage and in  Boq in Wicked where they met. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Lilly Jay when they got together and had a child with Jay. 

A little timeline could probably help some so in May of 2021: Grande and Gomez get married. In December of ‘22: Wicked began filming, so right around this time, Grande and Slater met on set. January of ‘23: Grande and Gomez split. A source in March said that Grande and Slater were “all over each other” at an Oscars Party. July 17th, Grande deleted several photos of her and Gomes together from her Instagram but left some still up. Then on July 20th, sources were coming out and saying that Grande started dating Slater and that he is supposedly separated from his wife. The next day, sources said that Slater’s wife was completely blindsided by the whole relationship with Grande. While on the set of Wicked, they would hold hands and be “sloppy and not hide” anything. Before all the news broke out, Slater sat down with Jay and told her about their relationship and said he wanted a divorce. On July 26th, Slater officially filed for a divorce. The following day, Jay came out with a statement to Page Six and said that Ariana Grande is not a “girl’s girl” and that her family is “collateral damage.” On the 29th, TMZ reported that Grande is giving Slater some “space” while he works everything out with his divorce and that even though they haven’t been in the same city for weeks, they’re still 100% together.
