Over the years, some amazing talent has been shown by countless coaches. Many great coaches throughout the National Collegiate Athletic Association (formerly known as College Football or NCAA)  and the National Football Association. Some coaches have been performing exceptionally well for the past few years. Only some are qualified to be great though. There have been many disappointments in coaching. People have continuously become more and more furious at many coaches. Many fans of teams have decided that some coaches should be replaced in hopes of winning more or wanting changes.

One of the head coaches of football has recently retired. He has cemented himself as one of the best Coaches throughout all of college football. 72-year-old Nicholas Lou Saban Jr. has retired after an outstanding 28 years of coaching. After being with the same team for 17 years, the Alabama Crimson Tides have become a very successful team. He has brought them to many finals and has carried his team to six championships, two of them being back-to-back in 2011 and 2012. Throughout his whole coaching career, he has won a total of 311 games, lost 83, and has only tied once in his whole career going against Bear Bryant. In an interview with Mr. Ratzloff, “After coming in second place in the national championship, I think he has what it takes. am curious how he will move from a smaller conference in the Mountain West to the Southern Eastern County. It’s hard to imagine a coach with a win percentage 87 in the NCAA. Everyone is hoping to expect the same from Kalen Deboar and win a national championship.” He is one of the greatest coaches of all time, having the most national championships than any other team in the world.

Although there are coaches who are doing well, like Nick Saban with Alabama, there are others who are not. After a devastating loss against the New Orleans Saints, losing 48-17, The Falcons decided it was time to let go of Arthur Smith. After three seasons, letting him go was a clear decision, as his strategies were too conservative and basic. Smith was very stubborn and refused to change his strategies. This led to them losing their hopes of being in the playoffs. Another incident has happened very recently regarding Ron Rivera, the head coach and offensive coordinator. Rivera has been dismissed from the Washington Commanders after four long seasons.  After a long 4-13 campaign, The Commanders have replaced him with two others, Bob Myers, a former manager for the Golden State Warriors, and the general manager for the Minnesota Vikings, Rick Spielman. The Commanders are still currently looking for a new head coach.

One instance of a coach who has not been fired is Matt Eberflus. He is the head coach of the Chicago Bears. Ebergus’s coaching skills have been overshadowed by a higher number of losses than wins He has stayed in Chicago for two seasons, and both have not been great. If this keeps up, he will soon be dropped from the team. In his debut for the Bears, Eberflus played an impressive game against the San Francisco 49ers, scoring 19 and only conceding 10. After this win, the Bears were not in good shape. In the past few years, he has not been showing that he is capable of leading a team, having a lot more losses than wins. His coaching skills have made the Chicago Bears fourth in the NFC North just under the Minnesota Vikings. Other situations are happening with other teams, just like what’s happening with Pete Caroll. After a 9-8 season which finished with the team failing to qualify for the postseason for the second time, The Seattle Seahawks have announced that head coach Pete Carroll would no longer lead the team going forward. They are currently looking for someone who can perform and fit the expectations of the position.
